Straight forward bar food. Okay service.

Great little place to have a few drinks and play some pool, fooseball or darts, listen to music, and relax and conversate with the locals and/or their small, but fabulous, personable, all around awesome staff. Some just come in to grab a quick bite to eat. Either way, you will be pleased you went. Their drink prices, as well as dining prices are very reasonably priced and very generous portions and quality. A while back, my husband, brother in law, and myself, went there on a whim one Saturday night, and we have been going back, recommending and bringing others, as often as we can.

Have loved watching the progression and creative, soul touching,transformation that is now,The Lakeview Tavern,to experience this place truly, is a luxury one should often and always afford themselves -

Cold beer tasty food. Special board is always a hit.

I had prime rib for dinner, and my husband had beer battered friend shrimp with chili for an appetizer. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Plus, the music was BLUES, which always makes us happy, and they had Moat Mountain beer to boot! Went back for lunch yesterday and had burgers. These were also excellent. Service was excellent for both of our meals. Pricing was reasonable, especially compared with the restaurants right on the water. Nice to have an alternative to the c-man restaurants! If you like to play billiards or foosball, games are in the back of the tavern. Is it ritzy? No. But the menu goes well beyond standard pub fare. Can't wait to try the ribs.

Had a great experience. The bartender Wendy was so friendly and welcoming! The food was delicious and the drinks perfect! Great place to relax and enjoy a meal. Would definitely recommend!

Was looking for a place to "get out of the house" while vacationing near Meredith. Stumbled upon this place while Google searching. Second time here this week! Decent beer tap selection. Very good mixed drinks. The food is also very good! I highly recommend the shrimp scampi. My boyfriend highly recommends the Reuben. We will definitely be back when were in the area. )

Dirty plates, slow service with bad attitude (claimed they were busy ... trust me that was not the case). Food was truly terrible. Gross experience!!!

Good salmon, nachos, and burgers! Very nice, cozy bar for a quick bite to eat. Has a pinball machine, pool table, darts and some other games to play as well.

I rarely leave reviews, but our experience here was really bad. The service was slow and our food arrived cold, although the restaurant wasn't crowded. The waitress was rude and kept snapping at us. Did not receive any napkins or silverware throughout the meal. Food was unimpressive. I ordered the BLT and it was comparable to a pre-made gas station sandwich.

Average at it's best. We visited furring a slower time of day. Food unmemorable. Expected more. Service, RUDE.

Food was ok but service was very slow. Only one other table and two people were working behind the bar. Tables where dirty, never offered to refill drinks, and chicken was very dry. Food took way to long.

Bartender had the best personality ever ! Very personable and friendly....Treated my wife and I like we had all known each other for years !

Unassuming joint off of I-89, that has some killer onion rings! The Dip sandwich was incredible & the waitress was the nicest. Good spot to stop for bathrooms & food if you’re passing through.

I always pass by and have never gone in. Today, I went in for lunch around 11:30. It wasn’t very busy so my friend and I sat at the bar. The owner was friendly. He cane right over and started talking to us. I had a mixed drink, and my friend had beer. We enjoyed both. I started with a broccoli cheddar soup, which was good, but I thought it needed more cheddar. For lunch, I had a hotdog special they were running, which was wrapped in bacon and smothered in nacho cheese sauce: delicious. A side salad completed my meal. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, and I’ll be going back in the summer.

Avoid this place for any type of food. If I could give this place a zero star I would! My friend and I tried this place because we weren't from the area. My friend ordered buffalo tenders, easy right? They came out shriveled up and with one touch would break, completely burnt on the outside and not cooked inside. The waitress told us the chicken would come out the exact same if we brought it back to the kitchen to be fixed. I ordered a steak tip Caesar salad, which I had to eat with a spoon....because it wasn't even a salad I could eat with my fork. Plus the steak was borderline raw, completely pink and I had asked for the steak to be cooked medium. We complained to the owner Jess, she told us she could not help us and demanded we pay for our food that we both took two bites of. She was extremely unprofessional and aggressive. This place should be shut down and people should be fired. Also the board of health should be involved. Awful place.

Best service and buffalo chicken salad honestly EVER had!!!

We used to live in the area and came back recently for vacation. We love sitting by the window and looking out over the lake. Service is always great here. The weekend we came it was the ice fishing derby.

The Tavern has friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. It's location in downtown Meredith is convenient and easy to find, with plenty of places around to park. They have a great drink selection, a good food selections and offer happy hour specials as well as specials during sport events. They host a variety of events, including karaoke on Sundays.

Awesome place a lot of positive changes since new owners took over.

We have been here before and the food wasn't fantastic the first time but it was adequate. This time we went we had uncooked chicken wings.......chicken shouldn't be pink. My son let the waitress know but that didn't seem to matter to her. We will not be back!!

Thankfully the service was ok, but my Shirley temple was not up to par. It was far to sweet. I will not be coming back.

Let me start by saying the food was very good and portion were large. The crab cake balls with basil aioli were awesome. but the service was less than desired. It took at least 8-10 minutes to be seated. then a few for the waiter. drinks were fairly speedy but apps took 35 minutes and dinner came out 5 minutes later. They were friendly but oh so slow.

If there was a minus star rating, this place would get it. Waited 90 minutes and food still hadn’t come out of the kitchen. Only 2 waitstaff on for the entire resturant. Saw 4 other parties get up and leaves , we followed the exodus of disgruntaled and hungry patrons. Piss poor service. Cross this one off your stops in Meridith

They play Irish pub music sometimes. I like that.

Great food, great service, drink was weak for a long island though.
